About Us

History:

Durham & Associates is a professional association founded in August 2006. For 22 years prior to this, Beryl Durham, AIA, operated the firm known as Durham & Associates, P.A. as the principal architect. Twenty-eight years prior, Beryl was associated with Kern Smith Durham and Associates. In 1983, the firm was reorganized as Bery Durham and Associates, P.A. Presently our firm is known as Durham & Associates Architects, Inc. Our professional staff strives to continue the high quality of architectural services to maintain our reputation in Southeastern New mexico and West Texas.

Facilities:

Our office facilities are located at 102 N. Canyon Street, on the southeast corner of the Court House Square in Carlsbad and at 1500 W. Prince Street in Clovis, NM. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to perform tasks more efficiently and effectively giving the highest quality available to our projects. The office has maintained an ongoing relationship with CME Inc. Engineers of Albuquerque for more than 25 years. The two firms are linked by computer and utilize AutoCAD software for design and construction documents.

Professional Staff:

Our professional staff provides a foundation for which our practice of providing quality architectural services has been built. Through the last decade of practice, we have developed a stable, qualified, responsive staff. Our staff of professionals are continuously increasing our capabilities through the uses of sophisticated technologies with up-to-date technology.

Licenses:

Randall Kilmer has New Mexico Architect license #483 since 1970 and Texas license #3825. In 1974 NCARB license #15289 was obtained. As Principal Architect, Randall and other staff members attend continuing education classes and seminars in areas such as roofing, roofing replacement, carpets, floor coverings and maintenance, International & State Building Codes, ADA compliance, LEED Standards and Life Safety Codes.
